Live Wisely: USF Affordability
USF offers an array of endowed and specialized scholarships, rewarding more than $1 million in scholarship aid each year. See what’s right for you!
New Student Scholarships
New Student Scholarships are available to first-year and transfer students who enroll after August 27, 2018. For a list of all USF scholarships, please visit the Office of Financial Aid.
Pay It Forward Scholarship
At USF, we believe that acts of kindness make the world a better place. Do you? If so, tell us how you have paid it forward to someone else in life. Follow the instructions on our application form and submit it with (or after) your USF application.
The University will award one full tuition/fees scholarship and two half tuition/fees scholarships for the 2018-2019 academic year. The deadline to apply is January 1, 2018. Pay It Forward Scholarships are renewable up to four years.
Eligibility: First-time and transfer students seeking their first undergraduate degree at USF are eligible to apply. Recipients must attend USF full-time (at either the Fort Wayne or Crown Point campus) to receive this scholarship.
Catholic School Scholarship
First-time, full-time undergraduate students who graduated from a Catholic High School are eligible for this $2,500 per year renewable scholarship. No other application is required.
Academic First-year Student Scholarships
Top academic first-year students receive awards ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 (based on GPA and test scores). Academic Scholarships are renewable and no other application is required.
Academic Transfer Scholarships
Academically strong transfer students with a GPA of 3.0 and above are eligible for a $5,000 scholarship. Academic Scholarships are renewable for four years and no other application is required.
Athletic scholarships are awarded to USF athletes. Recipients must participate on a USF athletic team (as determined by the coach) and maintain full-time enrollment. Renewal of the Athletic Scholarship is granted by the coach and reviewed by the athletic director. Receipt of an Athletic Scholarship may adjust or replace the student’s federal loan and work-study eligibility to remain within federal limitations. Additionally, it may be subject to reduction based on receipt of additional USF funding. Scholarship recipients must file their FAFSA forms in time to be processed by April 15. Recipients who submit the FAFSA after the April 15 priority deadline may jeopardize their athletic scholarships.
Academic Talent Awards
Academic Talent Awards are available to first-time, full-time students based on talent. All awards are determined by the appropriate academic division and are renewable up to 4 years. Total combined Academic Talent Awards may not exceed half of tuition.
To apply, students must attend a USF Event Day for the specific division or School.
